I think I might have got this now! I've been out another 2 times since my last post making it 6 x 30 mins constant running. I went out on Friday morning which was a bit windy with 30mph gusts and some sideways rain but not as bad as it got later in the day. Pic included of the damp friendly stone still marking the way!
The next run was on Sunday and I think I started the apps in the wrong order which made the C25K shut down. After walking for 7.5 mins I realized it hadn't told me to start running so i had a bit longer warm up while I restarted the app. On the return leg I was nearer home than I would usually be so instead of stopping after 30 mins I ran through the cool down and got to 5k. It took just under 40 mins and felt really good and the next day all felt fine as well!
I think tomo calls for another run. It's getting addictive!
I also really like the collage app recommended, it's easy even for a non techy person like me π

Well done for 2 more consolidation runs! Every one is building your stamina. Oh, donβt forget your stretches, they are so important ππππββοΈπ
Well done you! Had a run this morning beginning to lose count on how many like to do it before work as it sets me up for the day. It is definitely addictive , I am still doing my 100 miles walk/run for charity for the month of May ( currently at 111) as I thought I would need something to get me out but Iβm getting nerdy thinking of my route the night before and Iβm up and out, who is this person?
Weather looks like itβs finally improving for the bank holiday and I am so looking forward to fitting in some runs enjoy yours too π₯³π₯³
Wow that's really fantastic you're way over the target well done π. It's such a nice feeling planning the next run and fitting them in, I totally recognise the nerdyness π
Ha ha yass another friendly stone! π That's such a good idea doing a fake commute. I'm currently driving to work and struggling to regain the 2 miles a day I used to do walking to and from the train stations. Roll on July when parking permit is taken away from me and I'm forced to train again. Are you always wfh?
I was sent home last March as considered vulnerable π₯΄ but hoping to be back in the office at the end of June π€πΌ Managing a team from your back bedroom is not ideal and I definitely miss the work banter. However itβs given me the time to consider work life balance and to get as fit as a fiddle!! I normally drive in so will have to keep up the walking and running and not get back to bad habits .
Yes here's hoping things are looking up for June. Its really great that you've managed something so positive out of the situation, the running is a huge thing π I have to say without lockdown I probably wouldnt have managed to do the c25k so trying to think how to keep it up with less time in the future!
