Hi all, just completed my last run of week three this morning and am really surprised at the improvement in my stamina and recovery time. When I originally started I was absolutely knackered after the first few runs but now I've been able to see a big difference already in my fitness it's spurred me on and strangely, I'm looking forward to week 4 (although I've not peeked at the running/walking intervals yet).
So for all of those who are in Week 1, 2 and 3 well done and keep going, because it's worth it! I started with a bit of calf muscle pain but as the weeks have progressed it's now gone which makes the slightly longer runs much more manageable.

Those clear indications of progress in fitness are a great boost and they continue to improve with each run. It is incredible what nine half hour sessions can do for you.
As IannodaTruffle said, it's amazing on what a few 30 minutes sessions can do for you BUT if you are amazed now, wait and see what you are really capable of, I know one of the runs has EVERYONE who complete it grinning like a mad person for at least a full day.
Oh and then some, I did W6R3 this morning BETTER than I did W5R3, even finished with a last minute speed up!
To be honest I was really tempted to go for another 5 minutes and hit the 30 minute mark but I'm being a good boy and am following the program to the letter.
As you taught me, slow and steady wins every time.
