Don't worry, in a matter of no time, 60 seconds will be a breeze and you'll have made huge progress!

Well done for starting, and keep going - you can do this!

Soooooo long in the beginning and so short not too long from now. You have just completed the toughest run of the program! Keep at it!

You'll be fine! Just go really slowly and you'll get round

Did you, like me, feel like your lungs were going to blow out your nose? :)

Day 1- the toughest run of all on many levels :)

Wishing you many happy miles in your future - your adventure has begun :)

Read the beginner posts of graduates :) This programme is for people just like you and me :)

Some of us are literally "Running miracles" :)

It's challenging but believe me, when you do something like this it changes EVERYTHING in the best possible sense :)

Just keep gearing up and going out the door - the run takes care of itself, be it a "Practice" one or a "Success" one. Only failure is to not go out at all :)

Thanks! X

Oh I felt just like that. Even after run 3 I thought the idea of running for longer in week 2 was ridiculous. But I did. And continued to be amazed I managed it all the way to graduation. But the feeling you get each time you do run 1 and succeed is amazing.

As people have already said, W1R1 can be the hardest one, you're now past that, I bet your next post is W1R2 done so easily, if not, don't worry, I can guarantee that you will look back and think 'I found that hard?'

Every tough moment makes the next run that little bit easier! I also found a huge difference when I slowly drank a glass of water about 10 minutes before going out, I finished w4r2 this morning and I'm still so dependent on the water trick!

Very good tip! Will try!

Me too...I am finding not actually having more than a couple of sips of the water intake with me now so must be getting used to it. Might actually not need to take some with me one day!

Make a not in your diary to look at this post in about 9 weeks' time. You will giggle I promise, but well done on kicking the couch. The fun is just beginning....

I'm guessing the eighth time you did it felt like longer than the first?

You are building up your body's stamina so it is accumulative running. So never mind 60 seconds, you have just run for eight minutes!!!

My legs ached for the first couple of weeks but don't grumble as much any more. Keep going. Doing well 😊
