Week 1 run 1 :): Done my first run today didn't... - Couch to 5K
Week 1 run 1 :)
Well done on taking the hardest step - your first! Welcome to C25K and this community, the friendliest and most helpful you will find, and keep us posted on your progress
Thanks scruffy ...I have always held people that run long distances with the utmost admiration...dont see me ever hitting the dizzy heights of 25k but hey you never know ...
They all started at the beginning, gradually building up distance. Are you using the podcasts or an app to help you through this? I'm not speedy or planning to run a marathon, but I can run for 5K (very slowly) now, and I started the programme in May.
You've picked the perfect name! C25k sureucan. 25k sureucan
That first one is hard. Stepping into the unknown really and you've done it. And you've posted on here which means you now have tons of running buddies who'll be with you every step of the way! Enjoy it all. Good luck for Run 2
Excellent stuff Sureucan
Well done on making the hardest decision (getting off the couch and out the door!)
I think we were all exactly the same as you, sweating a lot (and puffing & panting!) but around week 2 you will find that stops and you will cope with it much better.
Don't forget to make sure you jog along at a nice slow, steady pace and don't try to run too quick and you will find you'll be completing the weeks without too much trouble and stay injury free.
Good luck and enjoy run 2!
