Wk4 dread!

So in about an hour I'm about to attempt my first wk4 run and I'm dreading it. Seems a massive leap from wk3 - so thought I'd have a browse here for inspiration first! Wish me luck 😬

Good luck, but I am sure you don't need it....

Happy running

Good luck but I can assure you, you will be fine. I was and I thought the same as you. Don't start too quick, keep a nice steady pace and you will smash It!!!!

Keep us posted. Xx

Good luck. If I can do it so can you. Keep it slow so you can run for the full time period. You'll be rightly proud of yourself when you've completed it.

Each and every one of us here have started off like you terrified of the next run and believing that the next weeks step up is more than we can do

BUT

the programme is designed to be achievable and every run you've done so far has improved your strength/stamina ready to take on the next challenge.

Don't get me wrong I'm not saying it's easy but it is very doable (is that a word) and yep you'll go out there this morning and do it oh and then come back and tell us all what you've done

Get in there

No we haven't :)

Confidence in this excellent programme is something many of us had:)

I like a great number of graduates simply took each run, each week, literally in our stride. It may not have always felt easy and I know I had one restless night, again like many of us, before the first run of Week 5...wondering, but also looking forward to it..( The only week I ever looked at too...:)

Our stamina and our strength as you know, grow with every single run...there are so many, dreading things, posts at the moment.. I am working on putting out a confidence building exercise:)

The best thing though, is that we are all here to support each other and as you say... the programme is doable and does work...:) Folk do need that reassurance..thanks!

Don't dread it.... there really is no need, at all. If you are taking the runs, as the programme intends you to... there will be no problem.

You just warm up well, you start slowly and you maintain that comfortable pace. Relax your shoulders, your hands, your face and try to land lightly and enjoy the run.

Every single run makes you stronger... have confidence in yourself... and trust the programme.

" All that you need, is right there, inside you!."

Please post your success:)

Nice and steady and you'll nail it. I've just finished week 5 and have dreaded every run beforehand thinking that each one is a bit too far of a leap. Felt brilliant afterwards though. There is a massive sense of achievement doing something you never thought your body was capable of!!!

Enjoy and good luck!

So chuffed with myself thanks everyone here's to Monday for R2 x

Fabulous result! No need to dread a run, save that emotional energy for the run. Just returned from W4R1 so I know how it feels!
