Just wanted to quickly introduce myself. I am a mum of 3 little darlings and I have been battling with weight and fitness for many years. Inspired by my husband who has lost an impressive amount of weight and completed the 9 weeks of C25K I decided this was the week to take the plunge. This morning I completed W1R2 and I have impressed myself with the fact that it could have been so easy to stay in bed that extra hour, but instead I got up and out to hit the tarmac. I know this won't be easy, but I am willing to give it my all.
I am sure that I will be asking for lots of advice along the way, especially as I don't exactly have a runners physique or gait...but we'll work on that.

Runners physique and gait, welcome to the club lol as I think a lot of us on here would consider ourselves to fall into that category.
Good on you for getting out there and making that 1st run as you've now done the hardest part and yes we're all here to encourage and help one another along
Look forward to hearing more reports of your journey
I too am a newbie and did W1 Run 2 today. Even though I have a hideous left calf pain and got stung by stinging nettles, I am so pleased for actually doing it.
Hi didn't quite do the 5k, but he was close. He did do his first park run on Saturday which is 5k and now he has a proper running watch he does 5k 3 times a week.
I've also had pain in my left leg, but think it might be the way I land and also my trainers. Going to keep going with them and then maybe get my gait assessed and buy some new trainers according to those results.
I'm doing my next run Friday morning - how about you?
Hi I'm on wk 1 too! Doing my 3rd run tomorrow am. I've been really surprised so far how much I'm loving it!! It's obviously going to get harder but I already feel healthier. Good luck for day 3 🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️
