W7 r1 - new venue spurred me on

Later than usual today, as had a late night taking daughter and friend to a concert. So because of that had to find a new route as the traffic too heavy by 8am for me to run as usual on the road - no pavements makes it a bit of a dicey proposition when the traffic is in full flow - at 6:15 roads much quieter. Anyway drove down to the local park, and Laura announced "by week 7 it's a good idea to try a change of route.....or runs can become a bit of a drag!"....Prescient or what.

So armed with my new route, a new armband thingy to put my ipod in (yes old school) I set off, usual heavy legs after initial 5 minutes, but kept on going, had to deal with some hills (well slight inclines - this is Suffolk), which I don't usually have to do on my usual route, but I made it - 25minutes - no stops and even stretched out my legs in the final minute to up my pace a bit. Might be something in this........

Ha, love that Laura is guiding your subconscious too!😄..

Sounds like you are becoming stronger and you're right to just push through those first few minutes as once you have your oxygen on board it all becomes more relaxed...

Go you....onwards and upwards. 😊x

Thanks J-N-R She's obviously more in my head than I thought. Feeling very positive about things at the moment. Your support and support of others on the boards has been a massive help too.

Nice isn't it? You're now on the home run...
