Despite life's very best efforts I have finally stuck with it for a whole week. I dont know how to tell when I first joined this forum and started enviously looking on at all your achievements, but it seems like a long while ago!
I could see how wonderfully encouraging and supportive you all are, but couldn't seem to motivate myself to bite the bullet.
But I've done it now. When I discovered there was a half marathon in full swing along the Greenway I intended to run on, I so nearly just came home! But I knew if I did I'd be sorry, so I just found a quiet lane and got on with it.
I know my mindset is different this time because I've mentally planned in where and when week 2 runs can happen. I know it's only week 1, but it seemed so unattainable and I did it 😎.

Very well done! One week at a time, you can do it! As the very well used phase goes 'if I can do it, anyone can do it!'. There are so many of us like that on here. We can't believe that we've done it (especially the state I am in!!), but we have, and so can you too.
Brilliant start. Just completed week 3 myself and feeling so much better for it. The biggest step is getting out there and completing Week 1 Run 1. Post your progress on here. The support is brilliant and great motivation. In just a couple of weeks the 1 min runs will seem an absolute fiddle. Honest.
Excellent! It's nice to know there's a few of us at the same stage. Well done for making the start (I know how hard that is!) and good luck tomorrow ☺. Come back and tell us how great it feels.
