Week 3 Slam Dunk! Bring on Week 4!!

Really enjoying Couch to 5k having never really run before (certainly never outdoors)... I can feel my fitness building quickly. I started C25k to get fitter for dog agility, as doing very little exercise then sprinting for up to 60 seconds (and being on my feet most of the day at a show) was killing me, especially getting a lot of pain at top and bottom of my hamstrings. But that is now fading away and I can feel I have more stamina. More surprisingly, I am enjoying it and actually look forward to the next run now... and no longer feel knackered all day after a run! Have just treated myself to new trainers (mine were verrrry old!) and some gear for the cooler weather when it comes...

Rolysmate, did you carry on running after "graduating" from Couch to 5k?

Thank you! All encouragement gratefully received! :D

Well done on your achievement so far. I also started the programme to increase my stamina and having just completed week 5, I can now run up and down our 3 storey house without thinking I'm about to expire! Good luck, let's do this!

Good work, GiGill! I am finishing week 3 this week, then moving on to week 4 (somewhat nervously, I cannot imagine running for 3 WHOLE MINUTES! But am managing it so far, and really enjoying it. Keep up the good work!

Actually, three minutes doesn't feel too hard... the five is a bit more tricky though... just concentrating on my breathing and technique. And I deliberately slowed the pace. Found today's run (Wk 4 Day 2) really hard...
