I am just on wk 4 and so far impressed with how it is making me feel and how I am progressing.
I have been eating fairly healthy whilst running but haven't lost any weight! Am a little disappointed about this as one of my aims is to lose the bulge! Did anyone else find this?
Thanks

I'm afraid by week 4 you aren't really burning enough calories in a run to lose weight by running alone. You need to combine with an eating programme designed for weight loss. The running will help especially later in the programme but the bottom line is you need to reduce your food intake to lose weight. I think there is a similar message board on here for weight loss.
Don't give up the running though. You will get loads of benefits from it. Well done on persevering to week 4.
I am on week 7 now and much fitter and more toned. However, I've lots of weight to lose so I'm now using the C25k in conjunction with an eating plan as I didn't lose weight by solely running. Took me until week 6 to realise this!! Good luck
Thank you all! Just finished first run of week 4 which really pushed me. Yes, I have been following slimming world and without the running before I was losing as soon as I started running I have plateaued?! In fact I put on!
Will def keep it up as I feel great and a sense of achievement! Thanks you all for your encouragement!
I too was hoping to loose some weight but nothing yet and I'm in the middle of week six. My wife says my moobs have gone and I feel so much better so I guess it will just take time.
You will lose inches and become more toned, however weight loss from running alone is only going to happen with durations over an hour. There are no shortcut quick fixes.
The other health benefits of running, such as reduced risk of many debilitating diseases associated with lack of activity and improved mental well being are not to be sneezed at.
I know a lot of people swear by My fitness app, which tracks calories and have had great success losing weight in conjunction with running. Eating " fairly healthily" may not be good enough. What is wrong with eating healthily?
tke that a stage further and eat very healthy, and less of it.
Calculate your TDEE (total daily energy expenditure) there are plenty of online calculators, then deduct 500 calories from that and stick to that religiously. Cut out all sugar from your diet. Drop Scamming World. Drink more water. Do some squats. The weight will drop off.
