Week 5 run 3. 20 minutes!!!

I'm a 49 year old and was a size 16/18. Absolutely thrilled to bits today! Managed to run for 20 minutes even though I was knocked off my feet by a big dog half way through. Thought I'd hurt my ankle but just kept going. Still very overweight but my fitness levels have improved. I've got so much more energy now. I'm feeling a lot happier too. I'm eating more healthy food and have lost a stone. I've signed up for the '5k park run' which I'm planning on doing when I complete my 9 weeks c25k! Can't believe I've come this far.

This forum is the new runner's secret weapon and is just about the friendliest and most inspirational site of it's type anywhere on the Interweb.

Welcome and do read around, ask anything you need to and keep us posted with your progress.

There is a Bridge to 10k forum to follow on to, should you feel inclined.

Good luck.
