Heat Index 86° - Humidity 74% today and I'm headed out in it for a run. Best lesson.

I don't know what I'm going to do today. If I get cloud cover, I may run a slow 5 miles. It's a 7.2 mile loop on one route from my house. My goal is to run that completely. I have done 5 miles of it so far several days ago. It's so hot right now that I can't push too hard being as old and decrepit as I am. I may head out and do another 1.5 miles. I just never know till I get on the road. My speed has been inching upward ever sow negligibly. I guess I'll work on some negligible distance increase too. hehehe. I am thankful for no injuries for a long time - since I slowed down and learned some limits. The biggest lesson has been to take it easy on myself and not try to train like a 20 year old trying to qualify for the Olympics. If we can train our own soul, our body will glad for it. I'm talking as a 54 year old, who has never been an athlete and who has seriously abused his body. I have lost 30 pounds since I started this running. That's just over two stone for you across the Atlantic.

Below is a photo of the hill I live on. I walked up that hill after a 3.1 mile run the other day. I had to be nuts. I am nuts because I'll do it again.

Some catching up on runs since my last post.

Yikes, that's hot Gary! Surely you must want to sit in a cool pool and drink a long, cool drink 🍹🍺 I can't imagine doing anything in that temperature never mind running.

Gorgeous photo though. And yes we're all nuts. Great isn't it? 🙂

I like your idea!

Well done you, I get the problems running in heat, but I don't have to deal with humidity on top. Nuts are good, nuts are healthy, just not honey roasted nuts!
