w8r1 lovely run

W8R1 this morning done in the beautiful early morning sunshine though it was still a tad chilly in the shade which I'm sure some would like to experience.

Set off on my 5 minute warm which was over before I knew it and I set off in my stumbling little trot with feet grazing the ground with each step, 4 or 5 minutes into the run I passed a runner coming in the opposite direction and was able to exchange a cheery morning.

Further along the track and I passed a couple of dog walkers and once again I'd still got enough air in my lungs to be able to exchange mornings greetings and stumbled on .

The minutes passed and as I approached the point where I will turn and run back I was glancing at my stopwatch to check for today the time/distance was greater, I hit the halfway mark and turned to head back.

My return run was fairly uneventful, I passed a few dog walkers and still had enough wind to exchange good mornings rather than just gasping and nodding at them.

As I was coming to the later stage of my run I was keeping my eye on the time and with 2 minutes to go I felt good enough to open the pace up a little, came to the end and felt like I could happily have carried on.

A lovely enjoyable run in the beautiful Derbyshire countryside, aint life wonderful.

Returned home a nice hot shower then off out for a Sunday morning treat, a fried breakfast and a large pot of coffee

You opened the pace and could have carried on. Aaarrgghhh, what am I doing wrong? Followed by that well known healthy breakfast - the full English and a pot of coffee. Clearly this Mediterranean diet I've been following is a con. Just can't get black pudding or bacon here though to follow your example. Blimey rolysmate, that is an amazing run, all mickey taking to one side. That is so good, finding extra legs at the end. You should be very very proud, graduation within touching distance. :)

I had you in mind when I spoke of the morning chill, don't know how you've got so far in the temps you've been dealing with .

I do enjoy my Sunday morning breakfast treats
