W8R1 this morning done in the beautiful early morning sunshine though it was still a tad chilly in the shade which I'm sure some would like to experience.
Set off on my 5 minute warm which was over before I knew it and I set off in my stumbling little trot with feet grazing the ground with each step, 4 or 5 minutes into the run I passed a runner coming in the opposite direction and was able to exchange a cheery morning.
Further along the track and I passed a couple of dog walkers and once again I'd still got enough air in my lungs to be able to exchange mornings greetings and stumbled on .
The minutes passed and as I approached the point where I will turn and run back I was glancing at my stopwatch to check for today the time/distance was greater, I hit the halfway mark and turned to head back.
My return run was fairly uneventful, I passed a few dog walkers and still had enough wind to exchange good mornings rather than just gasping and nodding at them.
As I was coming to the later stage of my run I was keeping my eye on the time and with 2 minutes to go I felt good enough to open the pace up a little, came to the end and felt like I could happily have carried on.
A lovely enjoyable run in the beautiful Derbyshire countryside, aint life wonderful.
Returned home a nice hot shower then off out for a Sunday morning treat, a fried breakfast and a large pot of coffee
