Hello all, have been using a different app to learn to run so already off to a start, just thought I would try this one too and see how it goes, look forward to hearing how you all get on as well.
Good luck Richard

The best thing about your post is that you have officially joined the best running club in the world and let us all know you are a newbie. Good days, bad days, on and off days, doesn't matter what, we are here to support and help and celebrate with you all the way. Looking forward to hearing how you get on
Welcome.
Some of the C25K apps have slightly different timings and also suggest target paces. The BBC and NHS programmes are purely about duration and to help anyone through we tend to say go as slow as you need to, speed will come later. This approach is to make the process as safe as possible with the injury risk minimised.
We encourage people to follow the instructions and not deviate, simply because building stamina and running musculature is a long slow process, for which there are no safe shortcuts. Some may feel we are a bit nannying at times, but those of us who have been running for a few years have first and second hand experience of injuries and know that doing too much too soon is a common theme on this forum.
Enjoy your journey.
IannodaTruffe is so right. I think if I had had targets to achieve, other than completing each run I would have packed it in by now. This forum is excellent both for giving advice and for support. Good luck with the programme and I look forward to more of your posts.
Well done and welcome.. the forum follows the NHS C25K... and we post and reply and we support each other.
Check some of the inspirational posts out.. you will love them!
Keep posting, as there are many Newbies here and if you support each other, you can swap experiences etc...
