Well, I hadn't 'read ahead' and had thought, with some dread, that week 2 would mean 2 mins of running (logical innit?) so was pleasantly surprised that it was less. Still tough but followed the podcast to the letter - except for the breathing. I can't quite work out what Laura wants me to do with the breathing. I'll listen more carefully on Monday....

Well done. Don't worry about the breathing, it generally settles down to your body's needs around week 4 or 5 although it might always sound, to you at least, noisy.

The experts on this site seem to advise that Laura is wrong about two things: the foot strike and the breathing. Just enjoy the running; head up, shoulders back, gentle jog :)

Just breathe.. as you do every second of your life.. and just run... anyway that is right for you...keep it steady and slow and try not to overthink things...:)

Well done you!

As my Mr Smooth says just keep breathing. The rhythm will come in time. You can get way too stressy about something you've been doing all your life... Week 2 is a nice week it gives a really good foundation, I hope you enjoy it. Good luck and happy running
