So, after reading on here about how you all coped with the 20 minute non-stop run, I completed this today. I must agree with those of you who said "don't think about it" and "trust the program" - it felt great to complete this today. If this 42 year old, slightly overweight (even after losing 2 stone) bloke who has never run before can do it then so can all of us...
Can't wait for next week now and I've bought myself some new gear to celebrate... over half way there!
Well done on completing wk5 r3! I start wk5 tmro, trying hard not to think about run 3. Great to hear of your success will be keeping my fingers crossed for mine on friday. Programme not let me down so far, so here's hoping....!
Thanks all! I think Laura might be right -,"we are fit enough now to do it but we need to train our brains to get used to the longer run"... Really enjoyed it today - tough but rewarding!
Well done on completing week 5 - it's a real buzz to get that 20 minute run under your belt. Good luck with week 6 but be aware that it's a lot tougher than you might think so go very slow and steady and don't get caught out by it. Best wishes.
