Week 3 Run 1 - In the bag!!

I was not looking forward to this mornings run! Firstly because I knew I was going to have to run for longer today. Second because it's raining and raining and thirdly because my bed was so nice and warm!!

I got up and went out though. πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ˜

Needed wipers on my glasses today, and as I started knowing partly what was to come I kept my pace slow and steady.

Oddly by the last 3 minute run I was enjoying it! πŸ€” Rain Running and I'm enjoying it!!! I must have kept my pace very steady because by the time the cool down finished I felt like I could do another run... I didn't...

So looking forward to Thursday, weather is meant to be better and I definitely think morning runs are my thing..

Enjoy your day one and all ❀️ πŸƒ

3 blinking good reasons not to leave bed, but 3 gremlins booted into touch by grit and determination. If you felt you could run more thats an amazing achievement early in the programme. Well done you, knock em dead in run 2

I feel bad now, I heard the rain and decided today was not the day to do week 3 run 1! Well done on getting out there in the rain.

I'm doing this run next! How did you find it compared to week 2 run 3?? I'm dreading it because of the longer running time

Hi fivekstarter I found it abit easier strangely, as I said I think I controlled my pace a lot better today knowing I was in for a longer run session. Slow and steady does the trick. Also found that morning runs are better for me which could be a reason why I found it easier.

A piece of advice I have been given on here is don't dread it! Just keep at it one run at a time and you will be fine. πŸ˜πŸ‘πŸ»πŸƒ

Ps also doing strength and flex on my days 'not running' is helping me I think.. I think there's a link from oldfloss in my post if you want it.

A cap is the answer..with a big peak...it keeps the sun off and the rain out..pouring this morning, but no rain on my glasses!

Morning runs are fabulous! Rain or shine, wind hail, even snow..but never icy mornings:)

Well done you for getting out there.. there were a few of us out and about braving the elements!
