Good evening fellow runners. So tonight was week 5 run 1, yet another night of poor sleep meant that I wasn't as raring to go as I usually am. The first 5 minute run was tough, but the second started at the bottom of a steep incline that last week I only hit during the recovery walks. I could see it coming so I had a word with myself before it and although my legs were burning I kept going. That was followed by a slight incline all the way to the top of the wonderful downhill for the final run. By the third 5 minutes I did find myself enjoying it again but those first two runs were very tough. It is down to me though, I've been so busy I've barely drank anything today. Also had a heavy baked potato for lunch. Isn't it funny how food can make you so lethargic even though you ate it hours before? Or maybe I'm just making excuses.
Anyway, run 1 done. Run 2 planned for Wednesday. Sneaky peek showed 8 mins of running ๐ฎ๐ฎ๐ฎ
Picture today is the lovely view I get when I come back on to the estate where we live, and a picture of me with my daughter Erica showing off my Virtual Runner Millies Trust medal for last weeks 5km โค๏ธ๐
