I've been struggling!

So not to bore you again I lost my mono after my calf injury😣 for the last three weeks I've only run once a week but after turning 50 on Monday (the very reason why I started to improve my health etc). I've even ignored the notification emais! However I woke up on Tuesday and realised that actually it still isn't too late. So out I went. Went back to week 5 run 1 and surprisingly found it fine so ran an extra 2 mins. So now I'm mentally in back in the zone. Here's to w5r2!

Don't suffer on your own, we are here and 50 is nothing. In fact my doctor said 50 was the new forty. So if that's good enough for a GP it's good enough for me. Well done though on picking yourself up and going out. It's really hard to do and so easy to give into the gremlins. But you didn't and you're back - hurrah. Kill that run 2

Well done for getting back out there. It can be hard to pick it all up again after time on the ic. (I've had a spell there myself recently and the first few runs are sometimes really tough!) Glad yours went well - and Hidden is right about 50 being the new 40! I'm 52 and graduated a couple of years ago - so pleased to have running in my life! Keep it up!🙂

Well done on your determination. This programme is to help us all individually get fitter so it doesn't matter how long we take or how fast/slow we are. You are now back on track and here's to your next run.
