I joined this forum very recently and after reading a few posts realise I've been doing it all wrong. I've just ploughed on through the programme taking each run as it comes. When I've struggled with a particular run/walk, rather than repeat it I've just gone on to the next. Yesterday was meant to be Week 7, Run 1 and I failed to do it (although oddly enough was able to do Week 6, Run 3). I need to take myself back a few weeks I feel and make sure I can actually complete before pressing on. I'm clearly guilty of not following the guidance properly... It has been fun though and I can definitely say I have been improving, just too keen to get to the end I guess.

I've been doing the programme wrong...
I did week 6 run 3 and week 7 run 1 and failed week 7 run 2! Really got to me. I'm off this morning to try it again! Good luck hope you get there x
Have you read the guide to the plan? healthunlocked.com/couchto5... it explains the recommended easy conversational pace.
Welcome to the forum and well done on your progress.
If you are new to running then you will have been unnecessarily raising your injury risk. Remember this is about training your body, not ticking boxes..........you could attempt and fail to complete each run right up to W9R3, but that would not make you a competent runner who has safely developed their body.
This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
If it helps, don t think of W9R3 being the end, it's just the beginning of something wonderful!
