Today I'm on week 8 run 2, and meeting up with a friend. We're going on the route of the local park run and it has me thinking, am I best to stop at 28mins as the app says or if I can should I just keep running to see how far I can get? The friend in question has completed the c25k and runs at a similar pace to me so I won't feel under pressure with speed.

At the start line begin your warm up. Run 28 mins and then walk the rest. Have a great time 😀👍🏼
Follow the programme. Stop when the app says stop. You have done brilliantly to get this far but there's no rush to get to 30 minutes. And injury at this stage is frustrating and sets you back. You can also do the park run on Saturday and just walk the last bit.

Just follow the programme, however you feel...the thirty minute runs will come in their own time...Week 9

The plan is the plan. Deviation can be risky. It is your decision.
An extra couple of minutes at your stage is neither here nor there, but don't feel pressured to run on if you want to stop.
