Confession! Dear newish runners who post with worries about finishing 3 or 5 minute runs: I giggle at your laments about doing these shorter runs. I admit this at risk of being chided for being insensitive. I only tell you this so that you know that one day, a few short weeks from now, you will be running 20, 25, 28 OR 30 MINUTES AT A STRETCH! And you, like myself, will chuckle that you once believed you couldn't get through W 3 or 4! I remember feeling appalled when somewhere around W4 or W5 I was required to add several minutes practically overnight! I was you just 5 weeks ago and now I'm in my final week. A few weeks from now you will be amazed to see that you are easily running 20 minutes or more. And like me, you will have a giggle at your old self. Shared with respect and affection for anyone who tries new and hard things. ♡

Shameless...................but true, so, so true.
It will happen - it really will. All you have to do is keep going out the door and listen to the Programme
Absolutely right! I think once you've cracked the 20 minute run in Week 5 you reason 20 to 25 isn't that big a jump, 25 to 28 even less and 28 to 30 less again.
So on Week 5, run 2 has 8 run + 5 walk + 8 run, which is a total of 21 minutes (admittedly with walking inbetween). But then the 3rd run is 20 minutes, so 1 minute less. So it's very doable.
... and so say all of us...( not the a*** bit though.. 'cos i'm a lady :)) !!! x
is right! i did a ten miler last tuesday quite comfortably. i remember dying after a 1 minute jog. XD XD
💪🏃♀️🏃 Go us 😃
I am on week 2 and finding it hard, hahaha! I cant wait to be the other side of the challenge feeling like a capable runner, I envy you!
