For anyone just starting out

I remember feeling knackered in the first few weeks despite having lots of walking involved. In a few weeks time you will be running 20 minutes + and will look back and feel amazed at how you now feel no more tired than you did after your runs in weeks 1 & 2.

This is an amazing training programme that slowly conditions your body and teaches you to listen to your body. Stick with it !

Well said! And I can add that a few weeks after graduating C25K you will be hankering to push yourself further to 10k and beyond............

Oh I so hope that’s true, I’m on W1 and nearly on my knees after each 90 secs of running lol

I was the same. The first time I ran 5 minutes it felt like it would never end, and when I got home I could hardly stand up!

Less than a year later and I can run 10k in well under an hour and feel great afterwards :)

Stick with it and you will be running 10k at least this time next year. You can do it!

Trust me, you will be amazed. I will bet 99% of us had never really "ran" before apart from maybe a bit of cross country at school which in my case is over 30 years ago !

I’ve never even enjoyed running as such until I did the run the other morning, it was like some major accomplishment 😃😃😃

Same here Mike, except my school running days were even farther back in the depths of time............

When I ran for 20 minutes of W5R3 that was the LONGEST run I have EVER ran in my life, which was 3 days before my 72nd birthday.
