Did my first big run w5d3 on Saturday and was so pleased with myself. W6d1 yesterday and my legs felt like concrete and I was wading through treacle. For the first time I didn't complete - my knees were hurting so much. Need to find the impetus to start week 6 again 😭

Concrete legs and treacle wading are par for the course sometimes:)

Just make sure you are well hydrated, well warmed up and take it very steady and slow:) It was very hot here yesterday and humid too.. so, maybe that did not help?

Yes it was very hot and I did wonder if that contributed to the whole sorry scenario 😉

I am sure... I walked yesterday ( on the IC, so no running) and it was very warm, very early!

That run is a hard one. I am sure you will be fine next time. Just don't go too fast (the mistake I made that week) and maybe try a cooler day. Then you will be back on track.

It's not a setback. It's normal. Week six is tough! You'll be fine as long as you go nice and slow

Give yourself two days recovery if you need it 🙂👍

W6R1 is notorious for tripping people up after the glory of W5R3. Rest up and approach it with due respect........slow and steady.
