Just got back from run 1 of week 5. I've actually discovered that, just like when I use to go swimming (I use to be able to do a mile in 45 mins), I take a while to 'warm up' and find my pace. Telling myself to remember this over the coming weeks so my mind doesn't take me down before my body has time to get going. The gremlins are already putting doubts in my mind re run 3 but I've gone through the forum and I'm going to believe in myself!!

I gave up after my W5R1 as just couldn't do it and the gremlins got into my head, but I've just come back from W3R1 and I'm back on course 🙂
That's the thing, I know it works, I've read the comments but I'm still almost scared to do it! What's all that about? I AM doing it 😂
I've learnt that this running malarkey is a lot to do with mental strength as well as physical strength.
I'm 51, I have 2 grown up boys, and been divorced I'm buggered if I'm letting a little run put off !!

Same thoughts Paula, was doing really well until holiday so stepped back to week 4. Injuryed my back playing with the dog so had two weeks off and did Wk5R1 yesterday. I did mean to redo wk 4 but pushed the wrong download and thought I'd just go with it. I was so pleased to complete it and my back is sore today but am going to keep at it might just have two rest days in between if I'm still sore tomorrow. Good luck
