First 5K organised race experience

So I agreed back in May to do a 5K run with my daughter and started C25K then. Due to weather and having to have a few more rest days in between runs due to listening to my ankles, I had only managed to complete week 6 prior to race day, struggling with 20 minutes.

Should I do it or not?

Decided to give it a go, managed to do it slowly without walking in 39m 18seconds!

Thats me! 5ft 5 and a bit, size 14+, 13 stone and 47yrs young!

Nearly killed me but I'm so proud of my womens running series medal!

Ah Fantastic well done. And you broke the 40 minute barrier first time out. Very very well done to you. The rest of the the plan will be a piece of cake now as you know you can run for 39 minutes. 👍
