I'm not sure I should confess this but everyone deserves a good laugh.
I graduated a couple of weeks ago and some of you may have seen my post, also I've posted a few times about most of my running being on a treadmil... well early in the C25k process I decided to try a run or two on an incline... it was hard work so I set it back flat (or thought I did)... what actually happened was I set it to 3.5% and have been doing my whole C25k run and post grad ones on an incline... no wonder I find it easier running outside!!
I did my second parkrun this weekend and my lad was kind enough to slow down for his old dad, 30:48 though and quite undulating with an energy sapping hill in the middle so I'm quite happy.
Moral of the story... read the manual!

Well, "they" say an incline of 1% makes treadmill running comparable to outdoors, so you did yourself a great favour by making it harder than need be. So you got stronger. And faster. Well done and congtrats with the 30:48, great result!
