I'm on the start of the final week - need to do the 3 x 30 mins - but have come down with a chest cold!
I have decided to pause the program as I'm really prone to bronchitis - it could easily be 7-10 days before I can run again - how much condition am I likely to lose, and should I go back to a shorter run first?
And how snotty can you be and still run? My chest feels a little raw and I have a slight fever otherwise not too bad at this point but the last bout lingered for 3 weeks and 2 courses of antibiotics 😡

You won't noticeably lose any condition with a week break and it is wise to stop until feeling fully better. In my experience, it takes longer to recover enough to run than to carry out normal daily functions.
When you get back, try your thirty minute run, if you don't complete, repeat it.
Man flu! That's dreadful and I didn't see it make the headlines? Joking aside it sounds like it's rest time as being able to breathe is pretty crucial when running 😉
It probably won't be that long before you can get back
Being snotty is ok I find. I always take a men's hankie with me on all my runs 👍 The running will help your nose run and clear it up that much quicker I'd say. Cook some chilli and curry to help
I had a rotten lousy cough in the week leading up to a race but I found I didn't cough when I ran, fortunately. Running with a bad chest is not really on as you feel rotten. Once you feel better, get back on it
Don't run with a fever for sure. Don't lie in bed (or on the sofa) with man flu or bronchitis, moving about helps your chest but exhausting yourself doesn't. Run when you can walk briskly up the stairs perhaps?
