Morning guys. And it was all going so well....completed week 6 run 1 on monday then come down with a horrid cold which has thrown a monkey spanner into the cogs of my program. Gonna try and give it a try tomorrow if my chest is a little better. Any tips appreciated my fellow runners as i guess this is a common problem. And should i go back to week five or just back to week 6 run 1 again ? I knew something would happen as ive been lucky enough to stay injury free so far. Any help much appreciated . Merry chrimbo to you all !!

I would rest until you feel better and then try the same run you last completed as long as it’s no longer than a two week break you should be fine and just take it steady on your first run back. As frustrating as it is better to rest up and get properly better. Good luck 😀

Your welcome I had to do the same around end of week 7/8 and just had to have another near two week break due to bad weather and being under the weather. It’s all mind over matter believe you can do it and you will but definitely get yourself better first and you will enjoy your runs more and feel amazing when you achieve them. Good luck 👍

Thank you for your kind words of wisdom. I always seem to kop it just before xmas think its the combination of work stress and gloomy weather, and this year running in the cold, but still loving it and looking forward to starting again.

Many thanks again !

Give yourself a break. Get fully well and if you have not missed more than two weeks, start back where you left off.

Running too early may set you back further.
