Hey everyone, really enjoying c25. Unfortunaly my left knee is playing up, which means I couldn't finish the run as it was painful.

How long should I wait until I can run again?

Well.. you need to rest your knee... is it just protesting at the new exercise, or something more..Running is a high-impact activity. When we run, at least two and a half to three times our body weight goes through the knees.

You may find some information ( basic) here... and there is advice about exercises too online.

Hope this may help?

Hi Katiya33,

Sorry to read about your knee pain. I had a similar issue during week 3. I have osteoarthritis in my left knee so I took 5 days off. Then, my next couple of weeks allowed 3-4 days rest between runs. Walking on my rest days helped me too. Also, I visited my DR. She limited me to running on a treadmill.

The great news is that I am approaching my last run in week 9 with no knee pain.

Hoping that you stay inspired and may your running be pain free!

Hi Bethlynn,

Thank you very much for your reply.

My knee has been more painful for the last couple of days, struggling to walk. Trying to rest this week.

I'm so gutted tbh, just worried I'm not able to run again.

Congrats on week 9 ☺️

Hi Katiya,

I am happy that you are resting your knee. Hopefully your knee will start feeling better. If not, do you have a trusted GP or other medical professional you can see?

My knee swelled while running impeding my movement. Rest helped but I also needed treatment from my DR.

Thinking of you!

I think I will give it a week before I go to the g.p this has happened to me befure, and he prescribed me some naproxen. Which it did help.

I've taken some more but it's seems not to be helping me this time 😔
