Just got back from r3w6 and I failed epically! I think I set off reluctantly thinking I couldn't do it and surprise surprise I couldn't. Would you guys go back to r1w6 or keep going till I manage to do it?

Help
Others with more running experience will be along soon but if it were me, I would simply repeat the practise run (I believe that is the term for an uncompleted run ) until I felt ready to move on.
Good luck with your running.
Oh dear, you let your gremlin get you. Don't worry, just chuck it in the f*ck it bucket and do the run again after a day of rest, but tell your gremlin that the last time was a test, and that this time he'll be locked in the cupboard under the stairs with a piece of duct tape over his mouth. The word Fa*l does not have its place on this forum - if you ran, it's a success - even if you don't complete it. Look how far you've come since those first runs - and believe in yourself.
1) word fail not allowed - it is practice
2) mental attitude very important - you can do it!
3) will let you know after 2 more runs (the above is to remind myself as much as advice i think). I would probably base it on how the previous runs felt and go back to the one that felt like it just about pushed me to my limit.
Next time set off looking forward to it and thinking you can do it and you will.
Redo that run. No need to go back further.
Mfam gives the gremlin talk and all true, but as a realist, I think you have to accept that any voice stopping you is your own. If you believe you can't do it, you won't. Only you can make you do it. Only you will stop you.
YOU CAN DO IT.
Thanks all! I ran again today as I knew if i didn't I would give up!! I did it!! Felt amazing to get to the finish. You are all so right about mind games. Today started out with a different mindset and a plan. I stuck to it and now feel brilliant! Thanks for the support guys!!
