Running scared!

Ok, so that sounds like a dramatic title I know,. Woke up feeling depressed and not like running at all but figured the run would release my dolphins and I'd feel better. Instead of circumnavigating the field behind my house endlessly I decided to run down the paths through the fields where I live. Oops! The paths have overgrown greenery either side so I'm now drenched in morning dew and mud, ha!

The running scared title is because one section had bushes so high they were leant in towards each other and touching about a foot above my head. So I'm now running through this dark passage like some kind of horror movie with the baddie just off screen! Bless Sarah Millican for telling me I could start walking but Darwin's survival of the fittest meant I actually kept going until I popped out the end 6 or 7 minutes later, ha!!

The good news is I will probably be ok for week 4 after all coz I had been worried.

Moral of the story? Go with whatever works to keep you moving! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Well done for keeping going and it's good to try new routes! Maybe check with a walk on a non running day!!!

Keep going and you can do online searches for local routes if that helps! Xx

I've walked and cycled this route multiple times but the recent heat wave and rain meant the greenery has gone nuts, ha!! πŸ˜†πŸ˜†

What a brilliant post! Thank you for sharing it with me. I too think every shrub has a murderer within. The down side of spending 6 years working in prison with murderers! πŸ˜‚
