Road running hazards

Very proud of myself for completing week 1. I found I had a 'bit more in the tank at the end if each 60 second runs which gives me hope for next week. I'm excited at the prospect if my 2nd run next week as I'm over in Weston super mare for a course and my hotel is right on the seafront! Sunrise beach run it is then!

Anyway to my title of this post. It struck this newbie runner that there are many hazards to negotiate during this running lark. I seem to have an ability to be placed at a road junction just as it's time to start running again. Followed up by dodging puddles, having a flat back lorry drive through said puddle and soak me not 10 minutes into my run. There are also the inconveniently placed road works, the overhanging greenery and finally the paperboy on his push bike who almost derailed any chance if me continuing with my running (ahem) career!

Anyway... I think I might have caught the running bug! Even hubby was impressed that I have managed all 3 runs this week as I do like my bed!

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!

Great work! Don't dodge those puddles they're for jumping in, especially the muddy ones! Keep it up, those early mornings will be worth it!

YeaY!

Puddles and rain..excellent! Very well done you... :)

Beach runs are great... just be a tad aware that they can put a slight strain on calf muscles ( my physio pointed that out to me after my calf injury) ...so slow and steady eh ?

Enjoy your change of route:)

Oooh seafront running! Lovely 🙂 Beach running! Yay! Go slow though cos it's like wading through treacle 🙂👍

Well done. The hazards are all part of the joy of running in the real world :)
