To avoid this dreadful heat, got to railway track at 7.20am. Lovely and cool and shady!! Planned to do a slow 30 mins, I don't usually run well in the morning, my last morning run resulted in jelly legs and a light head. So I was well hydrated and ate at 6am!! On a Sunday!! Mad!!
Did the 30 mins and carried on to 4k. In 35 mins. Happy with that! Knew I could have gone further. Will try for another 5k in the week!
Crossed paths with some very serious runners! They had 1000km challenge vests on and they were hammering along! They were very friendly and encouraging. Runners are nice people!!
Am adding a swim into my week as am only running twice a week in the hot weather. I can go to an over 50's session! Ha ha!!

Nice picture of you and where you run, there is a disused 14-kilometre railway line, now a cycle path near to where I live, I have cycled along that path many times but I have never ran it, perhaps one day I might run 5K along it.
