For those of us who were planning to check in and report back on the W5R3 today, here's as good a place as any. I'm just back from my successful 20 minute run feeling very pleased with myself. Stunned that I did it on the first try.
Wishing all other W5R3 runners today all the puff and muscle they need.

I'm heading out this afternoon. Been putting it off - should have done it yesterday. Was contemplating doing it tomorrow but then I would be four days behind my schedule. It's the thought of 20 mins! 😬
I was the same. Got myself in a right pickle worrying I wouldn't be able to do it and the first time I went out I didn't manage it. The second time though I went out with a completely different frame of mind. Took it v v slow and just did it. I am now in week 9!! Who would have thought!
Just finished Week 4 this morning, just looked what week 5 has in store. Cant believe I'll be able to run fir 30 mins. Did you have the same thoughts? Did the first two runs help?
Don't panic too much, it's only 20 minutes - an absolute doddle! I did have doubts and repeated R2 several times. Today was great - I even managed a sprint finish. I am not fit and not young. If I can do it, anyone can.
Well done I'm so pleased for you and everyone who has done this run today . I am proud to say that I have just got back and u did it . I am over the moon , thanks for support and advice from everyone it really did make it easier knowing others are going through it with you .
Well done, leighbev. I was thinking of you at about the time you would have been out so it's great to hear that you succeeded. it's a good feeling, isn't it?
Think we have all been waiting to hear from each other this morning , it felt great at the end and also a feeling of disbelief that I actually did it . As you said bring on w6 r1 on Monday .
Well done sheps and everyone else! I completed W5R3 this morning - didn't think I'd be able to do it so I'm really pleased. Definitely couldn't have managed a sprint finish though!
I did wk5 r3 yesterday too. Took it very slow and steady and made it round. I found it more of a mental challenge than a physical one! Had my 10 year old daughter keeping me company which took my mind off of it. Distraction is key so must found an interesting podcast or radio show for next run as my daughter won't be free next week to help me! Well done everyone else too. We can do this! Bring on week6!!
