Completed the dreaded w5r3 earlier on today and it felt great. I was going stupidly slow but managed to get into a good rhythm and was listening to an engrossing podcast (recent discovery that I find running to spoken word easier than music) while I went along and it just seemed to nip by! Was feeling pretty anxious about it before I went out but it really did feel that it was my brain that was anxious (if you see what I mean!); my legs felt great!
Haven't posted before but read almost all the w5r3 posts I could find to gear myself up for it and wanted to add one to the pile for future runners! ๐

Yeah!!! Just done it!!! I'm as red as a strawberry but I did it!!!! Really helped reading that everyone else felt as worried beforehand but had achieved it as well!! Thanks all x
Thanks guys, have tried c25k several times and this is definitely the furthest I've got but have been dreading this one, now I've done this one, the rest does seem somewhat more achievable even though my pace probably means I get overtaken by snails!!! ๐๐๐x
W5R3 is my next run... your post ringing very true to me... Iโve never posted before and Iโm reading as many posts as possible. Will give podcast a go as need something!!!!๐ฌ
You can do it! I quite envy you the feeling of elation youโve got coming up when you finish that run. Iโve never quite felt so pleased with myself again, even after my graduation run! Good luck and take it nice and slow!
