Completed the dreaded w5r3 earlier on today and it felt great. I was going stupidly slow but managed to get into a good rhythm and was listening to an engrossing podcast (recent discovery that I find running to spoken word easier than music) while I went along and it just seemed to nip by! Was feeling pretty anxious about it before I went out but it really did feel that it was my brain that was anxious (if you see what I mean!); my legs felt great!

Haven't posted before but read almost all the w5r3 posts I could find to gear myself up for it and wanted to add one to the pile for future runners! πŸ˜€

Well done! I did it today too after feeling really nervous about it beforehand and I'm totally chuffed. Yay!

Well done Katy. I did mine today and you're right, it's a mental thing.

Looks like we're both heading towards our graduation goal.

Keep up the great work 😁

Well done Libby. Yes, Katy is right. Rhythm is the key (that and swearing like a trouper under your breath). Welcome to the Smug Brigade 😝

Thanks guys, have tried c25k several times and this is definitely the furthest I've got but have been dreading this one, now I've done this one, the rest does seem somewhat more achievable even though my pace probably means I get overtaken by snails!!! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚x

Ha ha don't worry about the snails. The route tracker on my phone still insists that I've just been out for a walk 😲

Good luck

You can do it! I quite envy you the feeling of elation you’ve got coming up when you finish that run. I’ve never quite felt so pleased with myself again, even after my graduation run! Good luck and take it nice and slow!
