So I've just done my W1R1 and I feel shattered! I really didn't realize how unfit I am. Can't say I enjoyed it much but it was nice when it was over. When do you start to "enjoy" the runs I wonder?
I think I am going to ache tomorrow!

I'm in week 5 and 'enjoy' might be a bit strong but I'm coping and no longer feel like I might die.
You're doing something amazing so be proud. The weeks fly by. I can't quite believe that in just a few weeks I will be running for half an hour! Keep at it. It's worth it. 😊
This made me smile.. Well done you for starting this great journey
I think a few folk, quite a few, are trepidatious in the first few runs.. so much to think about, and so much to concentrate on. Not a lot of room for pleasant sensations maybe?
But the feeling afterwards.. wonderful
So.... slow and steady, relax if you can and just take pleasure in the fact that yes, you are out there and yes, you are doing it. The runs don't necessarily get easier, but you get stronger and the programme leads you, ever so carefully onward.
Generally folk completing this having followed the programme properly, ( and not tried to rush it or miss chunks out) suddenly find they are hooked, and are absolutely loving it, and running becomes a significant part of their lifestyle..
So, even if you do ache, and we do expect aches and pains.. soak in a bath and glow with the satisfaction...keep posting too
Hi I'm not sure 'enjoy' is the word I've ever used for a run!it's the feeling of elation and satisfaction you feel at the end of a run or when you reach a target that's addictive.
Well done for getting started, trust the programme, keep posting and reading the posts on the forum and you'll soon be addicted as well.
Good luck and Happy Running!
Amazing! Well done. I'm in week 5 and don't enjoy getting up at 5 to do the run but I do enjoy the sense of achievement afterwards! Keep on going 🙂
Well done 👍 I was like you 2 weeks ago and have just done W3R2 - trust the program and keep in touch with all the lovely members on this forum. They will be there for you every step or jog on the way to you achieving your goal. 🏃🏼♀️🏃🏼♀️
