First run down

So I am not someone who enjoys any form of exercise but I am extremely pleased that (even though I struggled) I completed the first run. I lack in motivation but before starting my first run I read through comments on here that I kept thinking of on my run and I managed to stick at it and not give up. I am feeling so much better for sticking at it and completing it. I wouldn’t say I’m “looking forward” to my next run... BUT I’m not dreading it either.

Well done! You’ve e done the hardest part - starting! Just take it nice and slow and you’ll do fine. What you will be, I promise, is absolutely staggered by your progress and how great you’ll feel - and that is motivation enough!

Getting started is the hardest part. Keep posting your progress on here and that will help with the motivation. Well done.

Good luck with your journey

Brilliant! Getting off the couch is the hardest part. Please believe me, it does get easier, and the plan works! Don’t be afraid to slow down if you get out of breath, and you’ll be fine :)

Well done for getting through your first run, how you felt after completing that run is how you will feel every time you finish a run even if you are struggling to get through a run keep it slow and you will get through and feel good about it afterwards.

Keep it slow, stick to your run days and rest days and you will be surprised how this plan works you will get through it. 😊🏃‍♂️🏃‍♂️🏃‍♂️

Welcome along ! A lot of us start here as lifelong sport haters and end as addicts, so don’t worry if you aren’t keen just now. Take it slow and steady and enjoy your journey x
