Week 6 doubts setting in....

Just completed w6r1 - aaaargh! Found this one really hard πŸ˜–. First run on the gym treadmill due to torrential rain and I really, really struggled. It was really boring staring at a white wall and I think that's when the mind took over! Also found myself clock watching and just wishing it over. So nearly gave up a couple of minutes before time but just about hung in there. Now can't imagine running for 30 mins. Big unhappy overripe tomato today 😑! I see from lots of posts that it's normal to have a blip - so hoping that's mine done!

Do not give up!!

You'll be fine, wk6 is horrible for everyone 😞

Probably didn't help if you were on treadmill and normally run outside

Move on, next run!!

Blips are fine - tell you what, they happen to everyone. My PT at the gym used to cover up the display on the dreadmill so I didn't track the milliseconds. I took ages to brave being outdoors but even today I think it was better in the rain, in the wind, plodding along than being on the human hamster wheel. Well done for making it though, it's OK being an overripe tomato ..... GO YOU!!

Ha! Love the idea of a human hamster wheel and will definitely cover the display if I'm indoors again - good idea. Thank you!

Yep, sometimes runs don't go brilliantly - don't give them any head room - next one will be better πŸ™‚

Ah.....did we forget to warn you......The Curse of Week Six.........and on a dreadmill, too.....sends a shiver down my spine.

Just take the rest of the week nice and steady. Honestly, if you have got this far, you will graduate no problem.

Nice and slow........

Definitely a dreadmill - will try not to make that mistake again! Onwards.....

You need to get through week 6 and then the sun will be shining, flowers blooming and children singing. You can do this and then week 7 is luuurvely :)

You may find outside proves far more interesting and stimulating. Running in the rain can be so much fun 🐳

I did a long dog walk in the rain today. Me and the dog agreed we prefer running in the rain :)

Definitely. After today I think even a downpour would have been preferable!

I don't have access to a treadmill so I wouldn't know about blank walls but I find running in the rain is fantastic! No one else is about usually- so no need to worry about a red face! Worst problem is dodging snails!!! I find I have a bad run every few and usually I have no idea why, but stick with it- You can do it!!

I understand your pain about running on a treadmill. Last time I did the couch to 5k I ran the entire thing on a treadmill (I thought I couldn't run outside because it was too hard...ha!) and it was all horrible and I dreaded every run. Now I run outside and the minutes fly by. Hopefully all this torrential rain will stop and you'll be able to be back in nature soon!

I am also struggling with wk6 run1 - so disappointed after achieving the 20min run! Really really struggled with this and I don't know why! I always run on a treadmill - running in the rain just doesn't do it for me! Plus I want to get a bit fitter before going out in public! So know exactly where ur coming from re this week! But we've both made it this far, well over half way!!
