I don't know who is more surprised, myself or my family that I actually ran non-stop for 20mins. Only 1min in I thought I wud have to stop as my left calf was killing me but I remembered the advice that the first 10mins is always the hardest so carried on. I also remembered reading that some discomfort is to be expected and as long as it didn't feel as though anything had snapped I was most likely going to be able to just keep running. Also a cliche but I felt as though you guys on the forum were there in my head spurring me on! I normally listen to music but I felt I really needed Laura's encouraging voice on the podcast for this particular challenge! It really helped!
Actually did a 20min run!!!: I don't know who is... - Couch to 5K
Actually did a 20min run!!!
Whoop whoop well done! Laura's voice has carried many of us further than we thought possible.
Make sure you stretch after each run to keep the tightness at bay.
I always thought of forum people egging me on when I felt I was losing the gremlin battle and it defo works 😁 well done on ur run 🏃
Well done you did it...with Laura's help.😊 Enjoy that feeling, you are doing brilliantly..
Maybe up your water intake on non-running days...
Well done!
I can totally relate to this post as that was me yesterday. I've discovered that even when uncomfortable it doesn't actually get any worse, it just lasts a little longer 😝. Any discomfort you feel is usually replaced with a great sense of achievement when you complete the run and that last 20 min run was a whopper! 🤣
Keep going! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
