100th run since graduation!!!!

Well, today's run was my 100th run since graduating from the C25K programme at the end of August last year! I was given a Garmin Forerunner 10 as a 50th birthday present and also as a celebration of completing the program.

Can't believe I've got 100 runs under my belt! Some have been completed in the pouring rain, where I was wetter than if I'd been in the shower, some in the freezing cold, where until I warmed up, couldn't feel my fingers or toes!, many in the dark and lonely winter nights, and some, like today in the blazing sunshine, sweating like a pig, so to speak!

Some in forests, some in woods, many on the hard tarmac of the streets, some laps of the local parks, and many in the local fields around my area. I have seen herds of deers, cows, ponies, and many dogs with their owners.

I can say some I have relished, some I've hated, some I haven't even wanted to go out the door for, especially on the freezing winter nights when I've just come home from a day at work, but can honesty say that everyone of the runs has given me a sense of achievement, and that 'post run' feeling that you get afterwards, They have also helped me lost over a stone in weight (with cutting down on junk food as well!), so I can say with total faith, that I am in this for the long haul, and look forward to completing my next 100 runs!

Happy running to everyone xxx

Hi linney1, well done for starting the plan.

I am by no means fast, PB of 34.03 for a 5km, and PB of 1 hour 16mins for a 10km. My usual 30 minute distance is around 3.7km to 4km.

Enjoy your journey!
