This was supposed to be significant. Magnificent! Celebrated!
But I missed it
I hurt my back 2 weeks before this 100th run but soldiered on for a week but it affected my running more than I expected so decided to rest in case I made it worse. As I was 'resting' I offered to volunteer as a race marshal at the local club run. They then sent me to the furthest point of the course and it would be a 50 minutes + walk home in the cold and dark. So I jogged back with the tail enders... in hiking shoes... got blisters, and had a cold dinner when I got home.
Marvellous.
But the rest did me some good as I am now on a parkrun weekly PB streak.
Good luck to all of you on your C25K journeys. Not all runs will be funtastic. But keep going and I look forward to seeing you on the Bridge To 10k forum and maybe beyond!

Congrats on the century! How amazing is that? I know when I started out I had 2 issues... I might not be able to to it, and I would probably quit.
More congrats on the PB streak... I am planning one, but mine involves tailwalking lots of parkruns and then running them ๐
Happy running.
Good move! I didn't plan to go on a regular PB streak but if I had, starting from tail walking makes it easier ๐
For sure... Iโm thinking tailwalk 10... run walk 10... slow jog 10... run 10 and then go for it... 40 PBs in a row ๐
Canโt see me being bothered though.
I guess you like or liked playing chess?
That was even longer ago than my running days ๐. Yes, I tend to think deeply about things still.
After all those PBs you could be well on your way to getting your parkrun finishing time bingo!
I canโt see me doing it... it would mean my PB wasnโt my PB... but it would be funny to do. Vassos Alexander was talking about his boy and parkrun the other week... he said heโd buy him a breakfast every time he set a PB... and the streak started... then one week Vassos saw him stood just before the finish line watching his garmin ๐
Bingo is good... and I need to do Groundhog Day.
Us oldies know injury or illness could break the streak.
Make hay white the sun shines!

Iโm kinda feeling guilty that Iโll set a parkrun PB the first time I run it already... and Iโd ask for my walking entries to be deleted... but Iโm damn proud of finishing last... everybody needs to experience the love that comes with that achievement!
Agreed! While some like to potter off when they're done I like to stay back and cheer on finishers to the line (after a bit of stretching of course)
