This was supposed to be significant. Magnificent! Celebrated!
But I missed it
I hurt my back 2 weeks before this 100th run but soldiered on for a week but it affected my running more than I expected so decided to rest in case I made it worse. As I was 'resting' I offered to volunteer as a race marshal at the local club run. They then sent me to the furthest point of the course and it would be a 50 minutes + walk home in the cold and dark. So I jogged back with the tail enders... in hiking shoes... got blisters, and had a cold dinner when I got home.
Marvellous.
But the rest did me some good as I am now on a parkrun weekly PB streak.
Good luck to all of you on your C25K journeys. Not all runs will be funtastic. But keep going and I look forward to seeing you on the Bridge To 10k forum and maybe beyond!

I canβt see me doing it... it would mean my PB wasnβt my PB... but it would be funny to do. Vassos Alexander was talking about his boy and parkrun the other week... he said heβd buy him a breakfast every time he set a PB... and the streak started... then one week Vassos saw him stood just before the finish line watching his garmin π
Iβm kinda feeling guilty that Iβll set a parkrun PB the first time I run it already... and Iβd ask for my walking entries to be deleted... but Iβm damn proud of finishing last... everybody needs to experience the love that comes with that achievement!
Congratulations on your 100th run Katnap, you are very accurate on knowing exactly how many runs you have ran since run 1 of C25K, remember to post when you run your 1000th run, perhaps in the Autumn. π π
I meant your 200th run, not 1000, you are correct on saying you don't like running in hot weather, yesterday in London the weather was 21C/70F, which is ridiculous for this time of the year, it should only be around 9C/48F, where I am in Scotland it almost got to 60F where it should be 45F.
Excellent! Go easy on yourself and see C25K through to the end. Its a good idea to have a plan for postgrad running in case it just comes to a stop. Do you have any physical world run buddies?
I take the hill slow and easy and I love the sense of achievement I get once I finish the run but you right to keep me in check to avoid pushing myself too hard. I'm still a solo runner because it's my form of escapism and there are no events or groups when I'm able to go for my run. As for post graduation I'm still unsure exactly what I want to do. It will probably be the C25K+ podcasts for a few weeks and then possibly Bridge to 10K. I'm also looking at introducing some cross training life commitments permitting xx
Hmmmm not the most understanding approach by your club run organiser but well done Katnap for doing that. More important for all us to note is your important decision to manage your injury properly. A great lesson for all of us. It is do tempting to think we can run these things off but to often this leads to extended injury which can end us in giving up running altogether.
Well done on your PB streak Katnap! You're not doing a Sergei Bubka on us are you ( look up how he broke his various world records if you don't understand this reference)!!ππ
I try to record every run and use this forum as a sort of blog in case anyone else has rhabdomyolysis and wants an idea on recovery time or possible complications.
That's such a good idea to get into the routine. I have to say that's admirably thorough. And you never know who you might be helping with your posts - it won't just be the ones who reply. I am hopelessly disorganised even when I try not to be π it's things like this forum that help me stay focused. I'm curious now, I'll have to do a guesstimate of my number of runs.
Yes not all runs are amazing. But a huge well done anyway. And top marks for marshalling. Hope your back is sorted v soon. See you on the bridge ππ
