Stepping stones!

Hi everyone! Hope you are all enjoying the bank holiday so far, although the weather today is grim. Has been hot though.

Anyhoo, just wondered how some of you are getting on with stepping stones. I have done that one and have been doing the speed podcast /interval training .Have yet to do the stamina podcast and just wondered if anyone else has done it?

Tomorrow though I'm off out for a nice longish run with my musical friends Abba! and Enya! (Some of her tracks have a good running beat them)

Happy running all! 🏃🏼‍♀️🎶😀😀

Yeay an ABBA runner.. I love them.. some tracks have great beats to them.. :) Lots of the Graduates have used and still use them..

Steeping Stones.. a bit like Marmite..love or loathe... Stamina and Speed..excellent; both aiding different disciplines for running... I use Speed now, if I am short of time or want a quick blast within another run... Stamina is very good when you come to wanting to extend distance.

HI peggy,😊

I like Stepping Stones because it keeps me really slow to start with,so I don't get the 'toxic 10' feeling, then the middle bit I get a bit more relaxed, 🎵'this one works'🎵then the last five mins really stretch out and go for it..🎵 dance ddd dance with me.🎵😊 I love it..

Stamina feels quite hard..its a wee bit longer. Have a go and let us know how you get on.😊x

I really like Stepping Stone, enough that I made a longer version by duplicating 5 minutes of the 150bpm section so that I could get to 5k! I'm doing a 10K program now so they're not really long enough, but I did my parkrun this morning to Stepping Stone and I still get on fine with it. Speed good if you're limited in time, but it was about the fourth or fifth time I did it before I managed not to have to walk during the recovery bits.... Stamina I quite enjoyed but felt I needed to build up to it by doing Stepping Stone first - but actually it's not too bad, especially if you concentrate on making it shorter steps rather than trying to maintain a longer stride.

Currently tending to run to spoken word audio - though this can have it's drawbacks.... recently i was running with Recycled Radio (Radio 4 Podcast with Gerald Scarfe cutting up lots of audio), and was giggling so much at points I almost lost my breathing rhythm!

Many thanks AlbertRoss.

Good info and you have given me food for thought about the stepping stones. I'm out tomorrow in the morning ,early I hope doing the stamina so hopefully I'll manage that ok. I've 5k in July RFL then I'm hoping to advance to 10K ( I'm a bit scared! )

Anyhoo many thanks and happy 🏃 running! 😀😀
