This is the first time I have posted on here but having completed my last run on Monday I thought I'd show off a bit. Admittedly I have only run 3.6km. which I realise is snail pace, but I kept going for 30 minutes.

I am 57, clinically obese and have acute bradycardia. My pulse is normally between 35-40 and goes down to 29 when I'm asleep so I was advised to take it very slowly - hence the pace.

I started in February so it has taken longer than 9 weeks but that is simply because i couldn't always find the time, not because i had to redo any.

Laura is my new bestie. I love the way she speaks to you just at the right time, although I'm not so hot on some of the music.

And you lot are incredible, an absolute inspiration. I love getting my email every morning with a selection of posts and, if I've ever had a query, someone else has had it before and loads of you have answered. You are all so positive and supportive, you do an amazing job.

What now. I'll definitely carry on although without setting goals. i obviously intend to get faster and therefore further, but in my own time. I'm just happy with what I've achieved so far.

I'm actually planning to take my running shoes when we go to Suffolk in the summer - whether they see the light of day is another matter.

For all of you thinking about starting, or already taking part, go for it. It feels so good when you make it.

Congratulations. I hope to be joing the graduation class in 3 weeks time myself. Well done on completing the plan and especially with a brady heart rate, fantastic achievement. Enjoy the summer and keep running.
