Did last run W9R3 this morning! That's a day earlier than schedule. I've got a very busy Monday tomorrow and didn't want to have to postpone last run. Was a bit concerned as I didn't take the rest day but it was fine. Slippery and frost y so thought I went slowly, but was surprised to notice I actually covered more distance in the same 30 mins ! I feel pleased with myself and really, really liked the electronic trophy and fanfare at the end!!! I'm not the fanfare-y or frivolous type but thought ...why not! Spent too much of my life being hard-working and seriously " achieving". I began this because a year into retirement I realised I was far less active than before. I used to get 10000 steps done by lunchtime when I worked! I'm now going to go and register to get graduate after my name then just see what I feel like doing with my new fitness. Think I'll consolidate the route I do and try to run for 30+ minutes. Got 2 friends wanting to start from W1 in new year if I go with them, so that's good for everyone! Have just put up my Christmas tree today, very early, but life's too short to wait for happy things ( I'm 66, like it says on the tin!). A big, big thank you to thus community for all the encouragement. You're fantastic! x
