New to this and a little nervous!

Hi, I'm Female and 50. I don't just want to sit back and grow old. I'm unfit but want to change that. Probably 1 stone overweight. Need to shape up legs, bum and arms because Bingo wings are setting in! 🙈 Need to generally slim down and most importantly I want to feel fit and energetic. Few aches in legs/ankles sometimes. I'm sure I can change that! Work in City, and want to fit my new regime in around my long working hours, although I now only do 4 days per week so I should have more time. No kids so I'm not restricted otherwise, just need some encouragement and support! I'm in Bromley area.

Hello and welcome. This is a great programme to follow taking you forward each week in achievable runs. Take it slow and definitely take you rest days, this will mean that you will need to run on one of your working days - some people get up early and run before going off to work.

Hi, The programme will start to tone you up, you may lose a small amount of weight, (although you haven't a lot to lose) while on c25k but that comes more when constantly running for at least 30 mins 3 times a week, and good diet. For bingo wings you will need to do some arm strengthening excercises.. see the link

There are great benefit's to c25k with fitness & feeling good as I and others on here have found.

I'm not far from Bromley and sometimes do the Bromley Parkrun at Norman park, it's a good flat course which is very popular and suits new runners, so that may give you good motivation to run on a Saturday morning.😊

Just follow the programme. I'm 51 and have now been running for a year. It's a great programme. If I can do it anyone can😊

Well done for doing W1 R1 MistyD😊

You have started now, that was the hardest part. The rest is tough but doable. Good luck😊
