Brand new and a little nervous..

Hi, just joined after being inspired by my friend who is running 5k after starting with the app only 4 months ago! I want to know if there is a 'commentary' on the app when you are doing the walking/running or do you have to keep tabs by looking at the screen? Sorry if this is a really silly question, I was hoping to have someone pushing me in my earholes to carry on and get through each daily task. I also like to listen to music when I'm walking/running is it possible to do this too?

Hi! Yes you can. I got the app from the App Store which is a bit different from the one on NHS Health. You can play your own music and the coach cuts in and prompts you over the music. Works really well! Good luck - it's well worth it! I am about to start week 6! 🏃🏃

Not all the app are good. My app (the yellow one) doesn't work! 😭

A more helpful response is, yes, you can use a c25k app for android phone, or better still, which would be more stable, there's the podcasts you download from itunes onto iPhone or iPod. Laura gives instruction and is well liked & popular, although music's a bit naff, but bearable for the duration of the programme..

Hi I use run double on which I can control the prompts on and for music I use my Amazon prime app so I can play my own music tried the nhs app but it kept crashing

I'm also using the run double app, it also tracks your run if you want so you know how far you've gone afterwards. Theres many free options but I found this one works well with music too, I also had problems with the NHS app. I might listen to the podcasts just so I know what everyone is talking about when they mention Laura :)
