Well here it is the moment I have been building up to for all of these weeks, which actually doesnβt seem very long ago. I would like to say that I finished with style and a sprint but Iβm back in Florida and itβs a hot and humid morning so it was quite a slog but I did it and here I am feeling smug. When I started I was absolutely convinced that I would have to repeat a couple of the weeks along the way but that hasnβt been the case, Iβve followed the program almost to the letter and itβs been relatively easy for me to do it. Three months ago I was a smoker and was heavily overweight and could not have run for 5 minutes let alone 30. Iβm still overweight but thatβs changing slowly but surely and I feel and look a lot better than I did back then. Iβm not very fast but I am consistent and as the extra weight comes off I know this will improve. So whatβs next? Iβm going to do the 3 post C25K podcasts a few times and get a feel for where I want to be then aim to run for an actual 5k (Iβm just over 4K in 30 minutes so reckon I can do a sub 40 minute 5k) Iβm also going to have a go at my local park runs in the not too distant future but I think my long term goal is to be able to run for an hour 3 times a week regardless of distance. It goes without saying that it would have been a lot harder without the help and support of all you wonderful people in this forum, itβs truly humbling the way you all take time out to encourage people along their own fitness journey. A huge thank you for that and happy running to all of my new friends .

Well done!! Well chuffed for you. Itβs been great following your progress and seeing you stick with it especially over the last few weeks with your travels.
Woohoo! Congratulations Rigpig - a fantastic achievement! When you go out this evening you should rightly celebrate it! Onwards and onwards from here - I hope weβll see you over on the Bridge forum!ππππ
Tim, well done! And extra bonus that youβre feeling and looking better. You have to win the award for most exotic runs!! Keep it up and keep posting.
Congratulations!! It's those feelings of pride, achievement and just plain simple feeling better about outselves that get us out of the house and running week after week. Thoroughly enjoyed seeing your scenic photos and hope to see many more in the future
