I was struggling with C25K and have given up on it many times in the past. However this time I decided to give Park run a go along with the program and had my first Park run last week. I wanted to run/walk in under 40 minutes and I did it in 39:14. This morning I ran my second Park run and almost shaved 3 minutes off the time by doing it in 36:36. Loving the Park runs. I am still training with the C25K programme and am currently on week 5, but the Park runs have really made the running more interesting. I am running/walking still but managing to run more than I did last week. I know I'm going to graduate this time, loving it.

Races and Parkruns are incredible motivators for me - sounds like you're in the same boat. Well done on the PB
Fantastic improvement in your parkrun time ! parkrun is what keeps me running from week to week, if it wasn't there I would have given up ages ago. If it works for you stick with it. #loveparkrun
Sounds like it could become habit forming, Damien. Are you registered at parkrun with NHS C25K as your club? It is on the list of clubs and it gives the message to the rest of the world that this amazing programme, along with parkrun, can change lives.
Thanks for letting me know. I will update my Park run profile now. Cheers Mr Truffe. And thanks all for your lovely comments. This forum is also helping to keep me motivated.
